ZOZOBRA GRANT APPLICATIONS

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe has gifted the net proceeds of the 2022 Burning of Zozobra to the Santa Fe Downtown Kiwanis Foundation to be disbursed to nonprofit organizations that make life better for the children of the greater Santa Fe area.

The Santa Fe Kiwanis Foundation Request for Proposals:
The Santa Fe Kiwanis Foundation is now accepting requests for funding from 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organizations or public/governmental agencies that provide services for children and
youth in Santa Fe and surrounding counties. Services that Kiwanis funds will support include
basic needs such as health/medical, food/clothing/shelter and education.
Funds awarded are the net proceeds from the burning of Will Shuster’s Zozobra. Grant requests
up to $5,000 will be considered.
Proposals will be accepted online at https://burnzozobra.comzozobra-grant-application/ from May 10,
2023 until 5 p.m. on June 10, 2023 (late proposals will not be accepted). Be prepared to
upload the following in PDF or JPG files:
1. A proposal of no more than two pages including the following:
a) Organization name, address, phone number, links to social media and website
b) Name, title and contact information (including phone number and email) for the
person preparing the proposal and the person responsible for the project
c) A statement verifying that the organization is either a 501(c)(3) organization in
good standing with the IRS and the New Mexico Attorney General, or a
d) Mission statement
e) Program description including how the requested funds will be used
f) Number of children/youth who will be served by the program

3. Current organizational financial statement
