Here’s your big chance to perform before a live crowd and a television and webcast audience of hundreds of thousands for the 102nd Annual Burning of Zozobra!
Do you want to perform before an audience of hundreds of thousands worldwide? Auditions are now open to perform the National Anthem at the 102nd Burning of Zozobra on Friday, September 4, 2026!
Auditions will be on Saturday, July 25th at the Santa Fe Convention Center at 11:30 AM. Please arrive at 11:00 AM!
Vocal and/or musical performers are welcome. Performers must be able to walk up steps to perform. Performers are expected to know what the event is about before tryouts. Please learn more about the Burning of Zozobra here!
The first runner up will be the backup performer of the winner & will perform at the City of Santa Fe New Year’s Eve on the Plaza, second runner up will perform at the City of Santa Fe July 4th event, and third and fourth runner up will be invited to perform at the Wine and Chile Festival. Scoring is done by electronic ballot and the winner is determined by the most votes.

The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe is the sole organizer of The Burning of Will Shuster’s Zozobra. Over the years Zozobra has given back $2.5 million to help the children of our communities grow and thrive.
