Can you share your Zozobra story?
The 100th Burning of Zozobra is coming on August 30, 2024! The Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe sends thanks to the City of Santa Fe, our amazing volunteer team, and all the community partners who generously collaborated to create an unforgettable 99th Burning of Zozobra. That success has primed us for a once-in-a-century 2024 event!
Now, Kiwanis wants to hear from YOU, the dedicated Zozobra fans whose memories and recollections will help us fire up an amazing new Zozobra Centennial book!
Anyone who has ever attended the burning of Old Man Gloom has a story to tell. How about you? Did you meet your future spouse at the event? Do you remember your grandparents’ stories about the first time they attended? Have you been involved with the event at any time in the past, as a “gloomie,” a torchbearer, or even a performer? Maybe it’s something your family has been doing for so many generations that it’s become a family tradition. Every memory is special, and we want to hear yours!
