Would you like to be part of Santa Fe’s hottest annual party on Friday, August 29, 2025 to burn Zozobra? We’d love to hear you say YES!
Volunteers are the backbone of Zozobra and volunteering is an unforgettable way to be part of Santa Fe’s most one-of-a-kind traditions. All ages are welcome, and all skills are helpful. Add your enthusiasm and experience to the mix as a festival event volunteer in Santa Fe, and you’ll have the inside perspective and bragging rights of a lifetime!
The application process is designed to create a safe, seamless Zozobra experience for you. We will ask you about any physical accommodations and food preferences, and if you are over 18 years of age, you will be required to submit a background check that our club will pay for. There will be a 5-7 day waiting period as your background check is completed and returned to us.
If your background check is not approved, the process will end at that point with an email notification from us.
If your background check is approved, we will reach out to you to see if you are ready to help us burn Zozobra. Once your background check is approved there will be a 48-hour waiting period in which you must review the waiver and assumption of risk as stated in the legal documents that you signed when completing the application.
After the 48-hour waiting period has ended, you will receive another email with the new supervisor’s contact information- please reach out to them. Your supervisor can answer questions and let you know when and where to pick up your credential.
We know this process will take a bit of time and we thank you for your patience and understanding because we want you to have the best and most fulfilling Zozobra experience ever as a festival event volunteer in Santa Fe.
