Zozobra 100th Celebration

Guess who’s turning 100 in 2024? The one, the only, Santa Fe’s grouchiest icon, Old Man Gloom himself! Since 2014, Zozobra has been moving through history, thanks to the Zozobra Decades Project, and now Kiwanis is reaching out to you, our beloved community, to help us celebrate this milestone anniversary with the most amazing Burning of Zozobra ever!
Kiwanis has formed a Zozobra Centennial Committee to plan a gala anniversary celebration and we are in search of five (5) community members who would like to join us to meet once a month over the next two years and help us make the 100th Anniversary of our cherished tradition one for the history books!
APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED —If you are interested in sharing your time and ideas on a monthly basis until September 2024, please fill out the form below. The deadline to apply to be a Zozobra Centennial Committee member is Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 5 pm, and we will notify new members of their selection by Friday, March 18, 2022.
If you love Zozobra but you just don’t have time to commit to meeting once a month, we understand, but we still want to hear your ideas too! Please send your thoughts to Centennial Committee Chair Ray Sandoval at [email protected].
